As independent consultant, but part of a
large international network, Winfried functions as an
advisor to small, medium sized and international operating companies,
helping them address 'the nature and seat of the ailment' ergo their
problems and management issues. He sees his role as a cathalizer,
asking the right question at the right time, thus helping clients
and client teams to diagnose and generate scenario's but, ultimately,
allow clients to arrive at their own decisions.
His primary experience field is 'the right person on the right place'.
Other managerial topic areas he works on are visioning, communication,
human resources and organization. In addition to his counseling
work, Winfried spends about 30% of his time making presentations,
facilitating meetings and dialogues, including retreats, workshops
and training sessions.

Winfried's vision on consulting is as follows:
- Everyone works temporary in a funktion or an
organisation
- Everything people do in an organisation should
be done out of free will
- Everyone is responsible for his or her own
happiness.
In plain english this means that Winfried's consulting
vision is that it is better for an organisation to make their own
diagnoses and draw their own plans, inspired and guided by his input.
His presentations at meetings restrict to events that are framed
around clear articulated questions from the hiring organization.
Consulting do's and don'ts
Public sector, profit and NGO's each represent
about 20% of Winfried's consulting time. The remainder is divided
among a mixture of professional firms such as executive search;
consulting, HRM, training firms and other professions.
Winfried is based in Røyken
- Norway. The location of clients in recent years has been about
60% in The Netherlands, 30% in Western Europe and 10% in Scandinavia
and elsewhere.
Winfried's fee is € 1.500 (NOK 12.000) per day, plus travel
expenses. Outside the Oslo-region of Norway he only offers his services
in one day units. When it comes to client satisfaction and If their
is any disappointment, Winfried encourages and welcomes the client
to call and discuss with him their feedback and reasons for their
disappointment.
Winfried encourages clients to send extensive materials in advance,
so that initial meetings can be tailor sized. There is no charge
for time spent examining material provided by clients unless the
client specifically requests analyses on reports etc.. Furthermore:
Winfried doesn't write reports. Telephone consultation time is not
charged, unless that time is excessive.
Professional client relationships
Client confidentiality is priority number
one, and therefore Winfried does not disclose the name of clients
he has worked for.
