JUDGMENT FORMING IN GROUPS,
POLARITY AND RHYTHM AS KEY TO DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL ORGANISMS
Serious concern about social developments was the deepest motive of Lex Bos (1925- 2006) for his doctoral thesis ´Judgement forming in groups´(1974). With his empirical and scientific research, he wanted to contribute to a world ‘with a human size and human face’.
Today’s turbulent, dynamic times increasingly call for everyone’s independent judgement. The model described by Lex Bos in this thesis turns out to be an unsurpassed tool for its development. It is therefore more topical than ever.
Many are now working with Lex Bos’ mind-set in their own way. A concern of Lex’s that has since become real was that the model he developed would be used as a “flattened” model, detached from the source from which it originated, and thus lose its effectiveness.
In 1990, the DIALOOG® foundation was established. Under the name Dynamic Judgement-formation®, the foundation safeguards a source-connected quality of the model, develops it and propagates it in the world.
In order to keep the connection with the source possible for everyone, the board of the DIALOOG foundation decided on an unchanged reissue of the original thesis.
This reissue, the standard work from which the DIALOOG foundation trains people in the professional use and transfer of Dynamic Judgement-formation® in coaching and training situations, is intended for anyone interested in the origins of the model and the philosophy behind it.
